Sportsman of the year Utrecht 2018

Ilias is the youngest athlete to win 7 world titles. Born in the Netherlands to Moroccan immigrants, times were tough for the Ennahachi family. They struggled to be accepted in a foreign land. His father worked as a carbage collector, while his mother helped out at a retirement home.
Following in his father’s footsteps, he picked up martial arts at the age of 11 and began competing in the ring after just two months.

It almost went to waste when Ilias was 16 years old. Bad influences led him to start skipping training.
His father and some good friends set him back on the right path and Ilias chose to focus on martial arts.

In 2018 Ilias became sportsman of the year in his hometown Utrecht.

“I would like to inspire young people by showing them that they can reach their goals by training hard while having fun doing it.”Ilias Ennahachi
